RADIO: Ray Appleton - Ballot Coverage - The 2026 California Showdown

On the California Insurance Commissioner race:

Probably the worst elected official in California - worst of the worst is our current commissioner. Lara ran on a platform of sticking it to the insurance companies. What did that get us? ... bye bye... they don't have to do business here. For 8 years we've had an Insurance commissioner who had no business background, only a politician, no experience dealing with complex businesses. I understand the companies aren't popular but when you drive them out of the state, you've ruined the market.

I like Stacy Korsgaden in this race... she's a Republican, she's from Visalia, came up through 38 years in the insurance industry. She's smart enough and ethical enough and has a vision for how to fix things where you actually allow a balance to occur. You have to let insurance companies have make a little money so that they can do business here. She understands that and can thread the needle to bring more carriers, and thus more competition back to the state.

The only candidate endorsed by CA Republican Party and that's because she actually knows what she is doing. I am also the sister of the famous former owner of Crawdaddies (@troy)

I wish she would have chosen a NPP ballot designtion, but she is a republican, it doesnt matter and you dont know what to do on this race and you're in the Central Valley then vote for her.
